Understand what happened before the reaction took over.
The Field Guide is a private reflection tool for reactions that seemed to move faster than conscious choice.
Most of us remember what we said, did, or avoided. The earlier part can be harder to see: what set the reaction in motion, where the body changed first, and how fear turned that change into an instruction.
The guide helps you reconstruct that sequence after the moment has passed and enough ground has returned. Seven questions lead from the cue and the body’s first signal to the meaning fear attached, the command that followed, the reaction or collapse that began, what helped you return, and what next action became reachable.
A single entry can clarify one experience. Over time, several entries may reveal recurring cues, familiar commands, and the conditions that help awareness return sooner.
The Field Guide does not diagnose you or decide what your reaction means. It gives you a clear record of what happened, in the order your body experienced it.
Use it on your device
The Field Guide can be installed on a phone, tablet, or computer and opened like a standalone app.
After it has loaded successfully, it can work without an internet connection. No account or sign-in is required.
Your entries stay with you
Your records are stored locally in the browser and device you use. The Soma Script does not receive, read, or store your entries.
You can create a backup file whenever you choose. Clearing browser data, removing the app, or changing devices may erase local records, so Backup and Restore is available when you want to keep them.
A reflection tool
The Field Guide is designed for looking back after a reaction, once enough present-time contact has returned. It is an educational tool rather than psychotherapy, medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency support.
When danger is current, the next reachable action may be distance, outside support, legal protection, medical care, or emergency help.
